SuperDad- Now With Cape™!

by The Daddy on April 6, 2011

A true story for the most part.

The Knob has been fussy lately with his toys. His squirrel brain seems to be switching new areas on every day. He seems less interested in some of the old standbys and more interested in new things to do with his hands, and other coordination-related functions. The Momma gets credit for pointing The Daddy in the right direction. She reads up on stuff a hell of a lot more than I. I would almost say TOO much, but that’s another story for another panic-inducing day. No, The Knob has enjoyed his series of boxes, and now seems to be starting to lose interest.

Oh well, I’m sure there’ll be other times I’ll be able to put on my SuperDad Cape™.

Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that kids enjoy. Like laying a piece of bubble wrap (“pop paper” as my 3 year old calls it) on the floor and letting them jump all over it. When we get packages, sometimes I think the boys like the bubble wrap more than what is actually in the packages!

My kids love that bubble wrap stuff. And their current favourite toy is a giant box my Pampered Chef items were delivered in. It’s alternately a spaceship, bus, or wagon to pull the 18 month old around in. But this is a great idea…..kind of like a treasure hunt. will have to try next rainy day…..I’ve been looking for a way to get all those little Kinder toys out of the way!
