Aaaaand, Repeat

by The Momma on December 19, 2011

“Momma, Woody’s head owie.”

“Honey, I’ve tried to explain. When you fling the Toy Story ornament around, Woody’s head falls off. That’s why it should be on the tree, not a toy. This is why his head keeps coming off. Poor Woody.”

“Momma fix.”

“Ok, but stop flinging the ornament around and then his head will STAY on.”

“Otay.”

“Ok, here you go. Woody’s head back where it belongs.”

12 seconds later

***

“Momma, Woody’s head owie!”

*facepalm*

One tenth of parenting is telling your kids what to do/not to do. The rest is repeating what you just said over and over again.

“Mommy, open castle and door.”
I open the castle top and front door.
Mittens closes the castle top and front door.
“Mommy, open castle and door.”

It’s like they’re TRYING to piss us off. But in a funny, innocent way…with toys.
